Role overview: 
Our client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, with a strong focus on planning and inventory management using SAP. This role is important to maintaining our high standards of efficiency, accuracy, and productivity in the production process. 
 
What will a typical week look like in the role? 
  • Manage and supervise a small team warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and accurate receipt, storage.
  • Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Utilise SAP for planning, inventory management, and to maintain accurate records of all warehouse activities.
  • Coordinate with production, procurement, and sales teams to ensure seamless operations and timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
  • Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimise warehouse operations.
 
Experience our client is looking for: 
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in SAP for warehouse and inventory management.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management principles.
  • Demonstrated  leadership and organisational skills.

Your manager has a wealth of experience coming from a strong FMCG background, having worked for the world's largest FMCG companies in past roles.  He is a consultative leader with a strong practical approach to Supply Chain and leadership. He possesses extensive knowledge and expertise, which the successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn from.
 
The fine print:
Our client has a flexible work policy - 2 days WFH per week. They have an office in the city and manufacturing operations outside Melbourne. This role is a permanent full-time position.
