About the Role

Our client, a global leader in fibre optic cabling and connectivity systems, is seeking an experienced Storeman to join their small, close-knit team. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this role is responsible for managing the flow of inventory, carrying out basic assembly work, and coordinating freight.
This is a varied role that requires both hands-on warehouse work and system-based tasks, using Oracle to manage stock movements. The focus is on quality, accuracy, and adaptability, with the ability to move between physical tasks and administrative functions as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage incoming and outgoing inventory, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met
• Carry out basic product assembly and preparation for dispatch
• Coordinate freight movements with carriers and internal stakeholders
• Maintain accurate stock records in the Oracle system
• Support warehouse efficiency and workflow within a small team environment

Skills & Experience Required:

• 5+ years’ experience in warehousing or stores roles
• Experience with engineered products or similar would be highly regarded
• Freight coordination experience is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in both physical and system-based work
• Proficiency with ERP systems
• Ability to work effectively in a small team and adapt to changing priorities
