Are you an experienced warehouse leader ready to take ownership of a busy, complex operation? Our client, a respected name in the engineering sector, is looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to lead a high-performing team and drive best practice across their warehouse operations.

This well-established engineering business supplies a wide range of products – from large-scale generators and heavy equipment to intricate electrical components. With a reputation for quality and innovation, they are known for servicing clients across mining, infrastructure, utilities, and industrial sectors.
 
About the Role
Leading a team of 8, you’ll be responsible for ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly while building a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on implementing structure and process, particularly across a diverse SKU range that includes both bulky, high-value equipment and small technical items.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the daily operations of a team of 8 warehouse staff
  • Oversee receipt, storage, inventory accuracy, and dispatch of all products
  • Implement best-practice warehouse processes (5S, lean warehousing, etc.)
  • Drive safety culture and ensure all OH&S compliance is met
  • Work cross-functionally with supply chain, procurement, and engineering teams
  • Identify and implement improvements in workflow, space utilisation, and inventory control
  • Coach and develop team members to build capability and engagement
What Our Client Is Looking For
  • Proven experience in a warehouse leadership role (ideally in engineering, industrial, or technical environments)
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and logistics principles
  • Confident in leading a team and building a high-performance culture
  • Experience managing non-standard SKUs and mixed freight
  • A hands-on, organised, and solutions-focused approach
  • Forklift licence and relevant warehouse systems experience preferred
